During the early years of my career, siri was a press photographer. My “claim to fame” is that I proudly hold the title of the first, female press photographer in Nova Scotia. At the Chronicle Herald, I learned to: read light, work to a tight deadline and always get the shot. I developed confidence, determination and the art of storytelling. In the last ten years or so, I started shooting more corporate-driven work. The clients, the professionalism and the structure of the assignments are all appealing to me. In commercial photography, I use all of my photographic skills - simultaneously- and it is creatively rewarding.

My name is Jenine Panagiotakos. I was born and raised in St. John’s, NFLD and moved to Halifax in 2001. I get asked a lot where I went to photography school and the simple answer is that I didn’t, I went to Dalhousie and have an English Degree. The not so simple answer includes a long winded story of experiences that have given me knowledge, love, and passion for both the creative and business side of photography.
