The Dartmouth Crusaders Swim Club is a competitive club with about 125 swimmers including members as young as age 6 and alumni returning from varsity training across the country. The Dartmouth Crusaders Swim Club formed in the summer of 1970 in the Old Dartmouth YMCA building and has been based at the Dartmouth Sportsplex since 1982. Our swimmers are supported by a talented coaching staff and a willing group of parent volunteers. Our head coach, Michelle Wilson, is a Level IV coach with experience at the Age Group and National Level. Crusaders swimmers develop discipline and learn the importance of setting personal goals. They develop friendships that last a lifetime. When swimmers graduate from the club, they receive a certificate that hangs proudly in many homes. The Dartmouth Crusaders Swim Club is highly regarded by its members, with numerous mentions of team spirit and positive experiences with coaches. The facility underwent a renovation and is described as beautiful. Superior service is also a consistent theme. For individuals considering a swimming club in the area, this club is highly recommended.

In the earliest days of Dartmouth United Soccer Club, there were a number of elite teams that competed successfully in various youth and senior age groups. Dartmouth United became the only soccer club for youth players within Dartmouth in 1994, and it included all youth age groups from U13 to U19. In 1997, the Caledonia Mini Soccer Association amalgamated with Dartmouth United, and increased the range of programs from U3.5 to senior. Through the co-operative efforts of a strong executive body, Dartmouth United has designed and implemented programs to benefit all levels of players and coaches. In present day, Dartmouth United continues to be the largest among the Harbour East District. We continue to develop players from an early age (U3-U12), players wishing to strive toward Provincial, Atlantic, and National Team programs are invited to try out for Dartmouth Football Club which offers the sole Tier 1 program in the Harbour East District.

The Support4Sport Program was introduced by the Nova Scotia Provincial Lotteries and Casino Corporation in 2006. Funds are raised through the sale of designated lottery products. Each time one of those products is sold, 100% of the proceeds help Nova Scotians get in the game. The Mayflower Curling Club has an upstairs capacity of 180 and can be used for numerous events such has weddings, dances, birthday parties, office parties and most special events. We welcome large or small functions.The upstairs lounge has a full bar facility as well as an on site food catering service. Our caterer can provide services for small functions as well as large functions such as weddings. Although we have set pricing for our facility, we will work with prospective clients to accommodate their needs. Please view our library of pictures associated with previous events. We believe that our facility can meet your needs at a very affordable price. We also have six sheets of ice available for rent at various times of the day and weekends. An early request for ice rental is recommended as there are limited times available and there is a tendency for ice availability to diminish very quickly. The Mayflower Curling Club in Halifax is highly regarded by its customers for its learn to curl programs, friendly staff, ample space for relaxation, well-maintained facilities, and large windows to watch others play. The center offers plenty of parking and is equipped with a bar and tables for post-game socializing. there are also washrooms and a stage for events. The change room is located downstairs.
