St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Since 1982 In 1982, Cardinal Carter decided that a parish was needed in the Dufferin/Steeles area. Fr. Italo Reich was chosen as the founding Pastor. From September, 1982 to December 1988, Sunday masses were celebrated in the gym of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic School. Fr. Italo worked tirelessly to raise the funds necessary to build the church and to guide the parishioners in the Catholic faith. Fr. Richard Love became Pastor of the parish in June, 2001 and Fr. Mario Salvadori became Pastor in 2007. 
Customers praise the welcoming community and talented musicians and singers at St Joseph The Worker. Some express appreciation for the priests, including Father Peter and Father Victori. The Adoration chapel is frequently mentioned as a beautiful feature. Mass times are offered in both Italian and English. The function hall can be rented for events.

About Beth Avraham Yoseph of Toronto The Joseph and Faye Tanenbaum Synagogue Centre The BAYT Congregation was established in 1980 by Joe Tanenbaum z"l and Rabbi Baruch Taub who is now our Rabbi Emeritus. Originally comprised of 15 families who met in Rabbi Taub's home, the BAYT has grown to its current membership of more than 700 families. On Shabbos and Yom Tov, our multiple range from heimish to formal, from yeshivesh to beginners. The love and support of play an integral role in all of our initiatives. The BAYT's programs rally the synagogue's membership as well as both the larger Thornhill and Toronto Jewish communities behind the State of Israel with speakers, discussion groups, and special events. In addition, a number of BAYT projects reach out directly to Jews in Israel.
