Shining Star Daycare began as a ministry of Port Moody Pentecostal in 1991, and then moved to our Coquitlam location in 1995 under the same church, which was renamed . As a Coquitlam daycare, we offer childcare for children in the Tricities areas of Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody, from ages 1-12 years old in our . It is our belief that all children play to learn, grow and experience the world around them. Our goal is to offer high quality childcare while providing a safe, secure, healthy and responsive environment that stimulates and challenges each child. To achieve this philosophy we have a comprehensive Christian education program. We will guide the children towards developing and achieving their fullest physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual potential. Our program consists of creative and challenging activities, field trips and exploration opportunities, as well as providing time for doing homework and free play with friends. Communication between parents and teachers is a vital aspect. We believe in working closely with families, sharing ideas, needs and concerns and developing a positive and supportive relationship.
