I recently purchased a 1 litre bottle of amber maple syrup from Lalonde's booth at the Maple Syrup Festival. It was the syrup that was recommended by locals. Unfortunately, when I got home and sampled it, I was very disappointed. It did not have that wonderful maple flavour that I was expecting. Even the fragrance was bland. I've had some amazing maple syrups in the past. In fact I was recently given a gift of maple syrup Escuminac from Quebec. It is 100% pure organice maple syrup and the flavour is amazing. I have to wonder why Lalonde's syrup was missing that awesome flavour. I know how the weather, environment and timing of harvest can affect the quality. I'm sorry to give such a poor review, but I thought Lalonde should hear from a customer being honest.

Amber is our middle grade of syrup and is on the sweeter side. If you are looking for a more robust flavor of syrup we would recommend our Dark syrup.
