McCroy Masonry is a family owned and operated business, serving the Bow Valley and was established in 1982 by Skip McCroy. Skip, originally from California, arrived in Banff, Alberta in the late 60’s, and quickly established himself as a strong and active tradesman within the community. From the 1970’s to 1982, Skip worked closely with many of the European stone masons, who brought their expertise in the trade of masonry from Germany, England and Italy. Skip became a journeyman stone mason in 1981, just before establishing McCroy Masonry. McCroy Masonry is now owned and operated by Skip’s eldest son, Heath McCroy also a Journeyman stone mason. Heath has worked along side his father since the company was established, and purchased the business from his father in 1995 McCroy Masonry specializes in high quality stone work both residential and commercial projects. We have completed projects as far south as Fernie, B.C and as far north as Whitehorse, Yukon.

Rundle Rock Building Stone is a quarrier and distributor of Rundle Rock: a fine grained sandstone/siltstone exclusive to the Rocky Mountains of Alberta, Canada. Rundle Rock is a physically hard, chemically inert building, landscaping and feature stone, available in earthy brown tones, charcoal-black and gray-blue colors. First quarried on Mt. Rundle in Banff National Park, this rare, indigenous stone is found only in the front ranges of Alberta's Rocky Mountains and nowhere else in the world! Harvested from Rundle Rock Quarry near Canmore, Alberta, Rundle Rock Building Stone is one of only two Rundlestone quarries that exist today. This second-generation, family-owned business has been in operation for close to 60 years. All stones are hand-sorted, split, shaped and palatalized to maintain consistent quality in style, size and colour. President/Owner Louis Kamenka, holds a M.Sc. in geology from the University of Alberta and is a Board Member of the Building Stone Institute.
