We are a members-only service club which honours the veterans of the Royal Canadian Navy. In 2009, we celebrated our 50th anniversary from the year we first began in the Galt Legion! Our Club is a friendly place where members of all ages gather for fun, laughter and a few cold ones from the Grog Stop. Our membership currently has only 13 surviving Navy vets, most of whom still join us on a regular basis, and if we're lucky, they regale us with some of their stories! See stories about our Navy Vets and their service at Our Veterans. Our Club honours three ships: HMCS Galt, HMCS Prestonian and HMCS Hespeler.

The Royal Canadian Legion 05-121 Galt is highly regarded for its accommodating staff, particularly the president Brad B, who goes above and beyond to cater to customers' needs. The location, though slightly challenging to find, is described as nice and suitable for various events. The rental prices are reasonable, and the venue offers flexibility for outside catering. The facility is functional and has been praised for hosting celebrations, gatherings, and events.

The branch is the most important element in the Legion structure. That is because the Legion is driven by its membership and much of its good works are accomplished at the branch level. Each branch elects executive officers who in turn chair committees which actually manage the branch's involvement in Legion programs. At the branch level, members have the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of activities, all of which will relate either directly or indirectly to major programs. In addition, they enjoy privileges of membership: access to branch sports and social events and the wonderful feeling of comradeship and being part of a long history of service.
