The Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta ReStore sells quality new and gently used furniture, appliances and building materials. All of the products sold at the ReStore come from individual donors, and businesses in our community. Shopping at the ReStore is an environmentally conscious decision, as much of what is sold at the ReStore are customer returns, and new or gently used items that would otherwise end up in a landfill. In 2010, ReStores across Canada diverted 20, 000 tonnes of material from lanfills. Shopping at the ReStore is also a socially conscious choice as proceeds generated from the ReStore are used to support Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta. These funds help cover the administration costs for the organization, ensuring that donations are used to support local build projects. This allows us to provide more families with safe, decent, and affordable housing.
