The Haysboro Community Association is a volunteer organization. The Board and Executive committee, which consists exclusively of Haysboro residents, is elected annually at the Annual General meeting in May. The Board of Directors meet once each month at the Community Hall . The Horn features regular articles from our Alderman, Brian Pincott, who keeps us informed of matters that affect our Community. It also provides residents with up-to-date information about our programs, activities and upcoming events. The City of Calgary invites our Community Association to make comments regarding any Planning applications and Development permit applications in our neighbourhood. The Board of Directors welcomes input from our residents on such matters. Our Community Liaison Officer (CLO) from the City of Calgary Police Department is a regular visitor to our monthly board meetings, updating us on crime statistics and other important matters relating to our community.

The OCA has a close working relationship with Ward 11 Alderman Brian Pincott and City of Calgary liaison, Ms. Pam McHugh. Ms. McHugh plays an instrumental role with the Oakridge Community Association, assisting the Board and General Manager in navigating City Hall. Community development and sustainability are the top priorities of his work. The Oakridge Community Association works with both Alderman Pincott and Ms. McHugh on civic issues affecting the Oakridge community, such as the ring road and Bus Rapid Transit. Through these relationships, the Association is kept up to date and can respond accordingly. These liaisons also aid the Association in accessing grant monies and city-run programs, such as the seasonal skate park and Community Spring Clean Up.
