About Westminster Bible Chapel is located in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia - serving the communities of Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Surrey and beyond. While our church has no formal denominational ties it co-operates with many other churches, both locally and elsewhere. Westminster Bible Chapel has a rich history dating from 1907. We strive to be both faithful to the historic and orthodox Christian faith, and relevant in our modern cultural setting. Our church family enjoys a great diversity in age, ethnicity, background and social composition. Westminster Bible Chapel is known as a ‘friendly’ church. No matter where you are on your journey through life we will endeavour to make you feel welcome and help you live life more fully, as God intends. For over 100 years our neighbours have watched us grow. In 1907, families who shared a commitment to God and one another, established the church now know as “Westminster Bible Chapel.” In the early days our church meetings took place in rented space in Cunningham Hall in downtown New Westminster. Ten years later we purchased a building which was known as the “East Burnaby Gospel Hall” (‘gospel’ means ‘good news’). This building was used for 33 years, until in 1950 a new building was constructed on the current site at 6th Street and Graham Avenue. This building was expanded in 1960 and significantly renovated in 2004. The roots of Westminster Bible Chapel are found in an evangelical renewal movement of the early 1800s commonly known as the Brethren Movement. Historically, this movement was in the forefront of rediscovering and reclaiming many of the practices of the church now commonly enjoyed among Christians throughout the world - practices such as the participation of all Christians in worship and service.
Westminster Bible Chapel is a small, welcoming church with kind, friendly, and caring people. Mature Christians form a strong community, and the pastor, elders, and music team deliver excellent Bible-based teachings. Old Testament teachings are emphasized, and attendees build each other up in unity. Warm welcome to newcomers with coffee time and cozy fireplace room.

Our Philosophy: Located in Burnaby, the preschool is a service and outreach to the community from New West Church. Our purpose is to promote a safe, nurturing, inclusive, educational environment while working collaboratively with Early Childhood Education/Special Needs certified staff, family and community agencies, honoring the diversity of those in our community. We believe that all children are created in God’s image and are entitled to environments and opportunities that foster positive growth and development, building on the strength and individual needs of each child. We teach children basic Christian concepts as revealed in the Bible. Parents are entitled to quality, family focused child care, which encourages supportive partnerships between family, school, and community. The teachers are Christians and licensed Early Childhood Educators/Special Needs certified staffs. Our facility is wheelchair accessible. We welcome preschool aged children from Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam and throughout the lower mainland. Our History: The Beehive is an evangelistic outreach of the First Christian Reformed Church of New Westminster. The preschool is a non-profit preschool and operates under a committee of church members, by whom the staff is employed. The preschool began operating in September of 1988 and has been a ministry of the New Westminster Christian Reformed Church ever since. The preschool comprises of four classes and each class comes twice a week. All our classes include both three and four year old children.
