Bronte Harbour Yacht Club, on the north shore of Bronte Creek. Established in 1962 BHYC has been a staple of Bronte Village whose members are comprised of the local business owners and community members. BHYC has an active social, cruising, paddling and racing with events and programs during all seasons of the year. The Club is well known for its participation in yacht racing and operates one of the largest volunteer driven Learn to Sail programs for its size on the lake. Our Yacht Club is built upon the following three fundamental principles: 1. To promote the sport and recreation of boating, including the racing, cruising and pleasure of boating out of Bronte Harbour on Lake Ontario 2. To develop seamanship, sportsmanship, and friendship within its members and community 3. To provide and maintain a clubhouse and facilities for its members by its members in a self-help manner where possible. Visitors are welcome to sign in with House Staff, and reciprocal visitors can arrange for dock space within the clubhouse. Visitors from reciprocating clubs can dock near the end of the creek (at the mast crane, just below the bridge) and in vacant members’ slips. The first 3 nights are free for members of reciprocal clubs. VHF 68 is monitored only when the club is open: evenings during the week, beginning at noon on weekends. If you’re arriving during those times, contact the officer of the day. At other times, pull into the visitors’ dock at the mast crane. Services and Facilities: 30-amp power and upgraded water at each dock space, washrooms, showers, ice, picnic tables, gas barbecues, public telephone, and launch ramp are available to members and guests. Our club offers.

Macassa Bay Yacht Club has evolved from a very humble beginning in 1962 with a small, plucky group of boaters with great vision, to the vital, vibrant and exciting place that it is today. The very beginning was around 1962, when seven fellows got together. The feeling was there were a lot of boaters are out there and that a club should be started. An association was formed and they met at a work shop of the B&M Marina. The meetings were held at one of the boat sheds until the water got so high they had to get out of there. At the time, there was no official name for the club, but they were often referred to as the Bitchers and Moaners (from B&M)!
Macassa Bay Yacht Club is a beautiful and welcoming community in Hamilton, praised for its friendly staff, stunning views, and calm waters. Ideal for families and friends, the yacht club offers access to trails, grills, a bar, and sailing opportunities. Members appreciate the cleanliness and the friendly atmosphere, making it a pleasant location for various gatherings and activities.
