This name was chosen for our place of worship in 1974, when it was built. It was chosen to acknowledge that the Lord has given us this place to worship Him and that this is both a blessing and a responsibility for His people. Our church is a member of the federation of Canadian and American Reformed Churches. Although we are a self-governing local church, we share a common faith and foundation with the other churches in the federation.

Glad Tidings Church // : Our Vision Living for God. Living for People. Everyone at some point is confronted with the question.. “What is the meaning of life?” We have realized that it was never God’s intention for that to be a difficult question to answer. Our hope is that people wouldn’t have to keep trying other things to realize the meaning for life and the purpose for their life but that they would realize that the purpose for life is simple and profound as LIVING FOR GOD. LIVING FOR PEOPLE. This focus for our life comes from Jesus Christ himself when a man asked him about life on this earth and eternal life beyond. Jesus said, “ ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself. The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” ~ Matthew 22:37-40 In the same story told by Luke, Jesus makes another statement connected with the one that we just read above. In Luke 10:28.. Jesus said, “Do this and you will live.” In other words.... True life... truly living... the meaning of life... is to have a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ... and a growing relationship with other people so that they come to experience and understand the purposes of God for their life as well!

MECO (Middle East Christian Outreach) is a team of people who share God’s heart for the Middle East. Our aim is to encourage national churches as they engage in effective witness to Christ. We’re valued for our track record of cultural sensitivity, our commitment to learn language, our flexibility and willingness to serve under local leadership, our ability to work in co-operation with others and our desire to relocate for the long term to share and show Christ’s love alongside them. The Middle East has always played a crucial part in human history. Christianity spread from here to the world. While 90% of the population know little of Jesus as he is revealed in the Gospel, many are asking questions and this is a time of significant opportunity. With Christian believers in the Middle East, we’re involved in introducing people to God’s message of hope in Christ. Our service dates back to 1860. In 1976 MECO was formed, bringing together the Arabic Literature Mission, Lebanon Evangelical Mission and Middle East General Mission. In a deeply divided and uncertain region we know the love of God and His forgiveness revealed in Christ can change hearts and bring a desire for real peace. Despite many pressures, a growing number of people are living their lives for Christ in the region. We believe the gospel is best shared by them, and our aim is to encourage them in their witness.
