Over the years the Prescott Animal Hospital has evolved from a single person rural practice to its current multi-veterinarian facility. In 1976 Dr. Jerome Billett and his wife Dr. Janice Harrower purchased the 14 year old practice, located between Johnstown and Cardinal, from Dr. R Johnston and renamed it the River Road Animal Hospital. A new hospital was built in 1987 at the present location and named the Prescott Animal Hospital. The Prescott Animal Hospital provides outpatient and in-hospital service for all creatures large and small. Our small animal services include a wide range of preventive care programs for every stage of your pet’s life along with dental, reproductive and weight loss programs. When problems arise we are on hand to provide expert advice for diagnosis and treatment. When required, we have a full range of diagnostic capabilities for blood and urine testing, radiology, ultrasonography, cardiology and tissue biopsy. Our team and hospital are fully equipped to provide comprehensive treatments in a comfortable setting when your pet experiences medical problems. Our surgeons perform a wide range of elective procedures including spay, neuter and hernia repair as well as wound repair, growth removal, dental extraction, exploratory surgery and a wide variety of orthopedic procedures. Our large animal hospital serves our barn and stable clients with a broad range of medical, surgical and reproductive services. For over 35 years our motto has been ‘Care and Comfort for Pets and People’. We are committed to this mission and continue to strive to offer our very best in this newly updated and expanded facility.
