Receiving Reiki is a very relaxing and soothing experience. A standard treatment is usually performed with the client laying on a massage table, fully clothed. The Reiki Practitioner lightly places her/his hands on or above the client's body in a series of hand positions, depending on what the client needs. When her oldest son was 12, Esther Shelley took him to see a specialist her chiropractor recommended. He struggled with multiple allergies, diagnosed medically at 5yo. For the first 5 years of his life, this very special boy with autism, struggled with innumerable allergies -- so many the specialist stopped testing because he was basically reacting to everything.
