Christmas is coming, the goose is getting fat….maybe not just the goose if I don’t cut back on the wine and chocolate intake which is my winter coping mechanism! As most know, we have 5 kids, ages 8-17 so I am single handed lay keeping the retail economy afloat this year! How I long for the days when Christmas meant an orange and maybe some candy and a new pair of mitts. Now it’s video games, cell phones, designer duds and more on the list. To combat the commercialism I am vowing to take less time shopping and more time festively “decking the halls” so to speak. I am hauling out the decorations, turning on the Christmas tunes and enjoying the holidays!
