Founded in 2003, Ultimate Cheer spent its early days renting out a gymnastics gym. Doug and Judi Martin were the original founders, however, Karl Pinnock has taken the torch and been instrumental in the continued growth and success of Ultimate Cheer. Scarborough Gym-Elites Club Inc was founded in 1999 by a small group of parents who felt that it was important for Scarborough to provide quality gymnastics programs for both recreational and competitive athletes within the community. The new gymnastics club was incorporated as a "not-for-profit" sports organization.
