Federation Tire is a privately-owned family business. The owner, Mr. Philip Leibl, has been working in the tire business since 1972, and is the third generation of the family in the tire business. The company’s strength draws from the experience of working with such local tire business icons as the late Mr. Lou Leibl. Philip Leibl has worked over the years with such companies as York Tire, Sturgeon Tire, and Kroy Tire. The current distribution of Cooper Tires and Kelly Springfield Tires in Manitoba is a direct result of the foundation work created and secured by his efforts up to 1998. After operating the purchasing and marketing of his previous employers’ companies for a number of years, Mr. Leibl established his own company, Federation Tire. Federation Tire customers enjoy the benefits of being able to purchase quality used tires at value prices from all across Western Canada and Northwestern Ontario. This provides a valuable and cost effective solution for the practical application of used tires into seldom-used applications or equipment, and helps the rural communities’ operations and individuals keep their operating costs down.
