Located at 167 Lombard Avenue, The Grain Exchange Building is an historic landmark in the City of Winnipeg and is classified as a Grade II Heritage Building. This eleven-storey office building has 250, 000 square feet of leasable space and was originally constructed in 1906. It was extensively renovated in 2001, with additional floors being renovated from 2007 through 2015. The property is located in the Exchange/Waterfront district, which is undergoing significant redevelopment, and is connected to the underground concourse system that links the major offices, shops, restaurants, and amenities of downtown Winnipeg. With all major bus routes and the Trans Canada Trail all within 250 metres of its front door, The Grain Exchange Building is easily accessible from anywhere within Winnipeg and the surrounding area.

Doors Open originated in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1990 as Doors Open Days, but quickly expanded nationwide under the overall coordination of the Scottish Civic Trust. It evolved into Scotland's contribution to European Heritage Days, launched in 1991 as a Council of Europe initiative, further spreading the event across Europe. By 1998, 19 million people had visited some 28, 000 sites in 44 countries. Doors Open Toronto was the first Doors Open event in Canada, arriving in 2000 under the auspices of Heritage Toronto. Doors Open attracts not only tourists, but residents of Winnipeg and Manitoba who are interested in learning the history of many of the city's architecturally stunning and historically significant buildings.

When you're game for fun! Jack Pott's Thrill Zone is a popular destination for both kids and adults with a fondness for classic games. The arcade offers a nostalgic experience as it still uses tokens for games that include the original Mario Bros. and 19 in 1.
