Golden Hand Jewellery is a reputable business with a diverse selection of jewelry and great customer service. Prices may be slightly higher but are justified by the quality and frequent sales. Many customers have had positive experiences with repairs and custom work. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Some customers have had issues with pricing and honesty, but these instances seem to be outliers.

I recently replaced a battery for a Seiko watch at Swift Quartz in St. Vital Centre. The customer presently being served told me she just paid $18.00 dollars for her battery. When my watch was inspected, I was told it required a new battery. I gave the okay after knowing what the previous customer paid, not asking or being told the cost. I paid and went home and then realized I was charged $39.20 This frustrated me because I felt I was over charged. I had the batteries replaced twice at the Bay and never paid anything near $39.20. I phoned a competitor jeweler and was quoted $15.00. I also phoned Swift Quartz at the Sterling Lyon location and was quoted $24.95. I returned next day to Swift Quartz to review the charges but was never told the charges were out of line. I explained and went over the outcome of my research. The employee phoned his manager and gave me six more months on my battery warranty. I told the employee I was dissatisfied. I was then told that the manager would be phoning me the next day. The manager did phone next day but did not offer anything new. I never received a satisfactory explanation for the cost and felt undervalued as a customer. This customer experience for me was lacking transparency and communication.
