Southern Tropic of Plants began in 1970 at a time when it was apparent there was a real need by the design and business community for professional interior landscaping in Winnipeg. Over the years, as business grew, we expanded and built a facility that is almost 10, 000 square feet, consisting of two year-round greenhouses and office space in south Winnipeg. This facility, where we store, acclimate, clean and prepare a substantial inventory of tropical plants, allows us to efficiently meet our clients' needs. Our vehicles can drive directly into our heated loading bay, ensuring the safe supply and delivery of lush tropical plants 12 months of the year. Along with the sale and rental of live and artificial (silk, plastic, replica and preserved) plants and Ficus trees (from bushes to tall, specimen Ficus trees), and decorative planters and accessories, a major part of our business lies in the ongoing maintenance of our clients' interior landscape - our signature "GREEN CARE" service. We have a dedicated staff of Plant Technicians who are trained to provide courteous, knowledgeable and professional service. We offer a seasonal floral rotation program, to allow you to highlight that extra-special bright spot in your office. The rotation flowers usually include Bromeliads, Easter Lilies and Poinsettias.
