The new Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA) was passed in 2009 and will eventually replace The Chiropractic Act of Manitoba (1945) . With the new legislation, the profession's legislative authority will soon become the College of Chiropractors of Manitoba. The RHPA legislation will also be developed into profession-specific regulations and by-laws. As this process will take a few years, the Manitoba Chiropractors Association will fulfill the dual role of membership and regulatory until the change has been affected.
