Jackson Springs was founded by Chris Garrick (President, Director, Founder). He originally became interested in health and the importance of high quality drinking water in 2001, when he and his wife Laryssa Semchyshyn-Garrick (Treasurer and Director) decided to start a family. Chris succeeded in improving his health that year through weight loss and healthy eating habits. During his journey to better health, he and Laryssa discovered that many bottled waters are nothing more than filtered city tap water, processed to remove chemicals. The filtering process also added chemicals and removed important naturally-occurring minerals. The couple was unsatisfied with the bottled water available to them, so they began a hunt for a pure, natural spring water. They found it near Middlebro, Manitoba, in the southeast corner of the province. The water comes from one of the highest elevations in the province and is surrounded by three provincial forests. Their desire for better water and better health led them to create Jackson Springs Natural Premium Spring Water, named after their son Jackson. Since launching the company, they've steadily grown, selling water in 3 and 5 gallon bottles around Manitoba. Today, they oversee a thriving business which controls every step of the process from water source to testing and bottle sterilization to convenient home delivery. Chris and Laryssa have found that many of their customers find Jackson Springs for the same reason they created the company: to improve their families' health.
