Lake Country Cycle is a family owned and operated business. Clifford Sewell and Cameron Donald, step-father and step-son, initially planned the venture in the summer of 2009, and were later joined by the younger son, Nicholas Sewell. As a group, they all attended the Winterborne Bicycle Institute in Guelph, each receiving their Professional Bicycle Mechanics Certificate. Upon returning from Ontario they set to work preparing to set up the old GreekHouse Deli building as Lake Country’s new cycle shop, opening their doors November 12th of 2009. Cliff, having been in business locally for 25 years, wished to embark on a new family operated business venture. Cameron, being a father of 3 young girls, was looking for a healthy life style for his family, while providing employment for himself and doing something he enjoyed. Nicholas, having lived out of province for the past 2 years, returned to spend time working with the family.
