Bruce trained in Britain with Andrew Whitley who is an international figure in bread baking and the Real Bread Campaign. Eating local, freshly prepared and real food is one way of building a more resilient food system and society. Black Island Bakery was created in response to our passion for simple, wholesome food. We work with individuals and groups by offering hands-on training workshops in the art of traditional bread baking. Our bread share provides fresh loaves to customers on an order basis.
