Steve and Anita Buehner, are a husband and wife farming team who share their love for the land. Both grew up on tobacco farms in the Simcoe - Waterford area of Norfolk County, Ontario. When they married in 1986, they were both actively involved in their parents' farming operations. In 1990, they purchased their property from Anita's parents, who had owned it since 1974. Although tobacco was the primary crop on the farm until 2008, today they are enthusiastically re-purposing their farm. Preserving the agricultural heritage of the area through sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship, and farming in an ecologically sustainable way are objectives in their revitalization project. 
Bonnieheath Estate is highly recommended for its stunning lavender fields and well-maintained vineyards. Customers appreciate the friendly and informative staff, the peaceful atmosphere, and the delicious wines and ciders.
