Knapp's Farm Service Background John and Cheri Knapp started their business in 1995. They decided to establish a farm service business after the company where John worked as a mechanic on International tractor equipment for 15 years closed its doors. John and Cheri work as a team to look after the many different daily tasks. In the shop they built in their second year of business they are able to tackle repairs to small & large tractors, large combines and various implements. Over the years they have outfitted their shop with the equipment needed for hydraulic and engine work as well as air conditioning repair and light welding. “We can do pretty much everything a major line shop does”, said John. In 2005 they become a dealer for Mahindra tractors. During an interview with the local newspaper reporter, John said “We always wanted to be retailing something, but not something everyone else had”. Knapp’s farm service has a well established service clientele. John said “Our customers trust us and this is a strength when these customers begin looking for new equipment”. Being known as the first Mahindra Tractor dealerships in Ontario, they have now been a thriving dealershipsince 1995. With the broad range of Mahindra Tractors it has allowed Knapp’s Farm Service to expand their service area as well as diversify their customer base.
