From its humble beginnings in the 1940’s, the Dobson family has always had its roots planted in Atlantic Canada business. Although originally founded on trucking, today’s Dobson Group is focused firmly on retailing. In 1973, Leisure Time Sales Ltd was founded to sell Cygnet travel trailers and, under the direction of Danny and Derek Dobson, the company grew to become one of Atlantic Canada’s largest RV Dealerships. In 1989, with the acquisition of the local Chrysler dealership, Dobson Chrysler Dodge was formed and the two companies became the foundation of the family’s business growth.
