Global LVL is a private company created in 2009 by local investors to acquire and restart the LVL (laminated veneer lumber) plant located in Ville-Marie, Quebec (Canada) which was closed in 2008. Global LVL acquired the Ville-Marie LVL plant in July 2010 with the participation of a few financial partners. Global LVL restarted the LVL plant in November 2010 with many of the employees who worked at the plant since its construction in 1975 and more particularly since its modernization in 1991 to manufacture LVL components.
