We offer 1-on-1 tutoring, either at your home, or at our Tutoring Centre, 1-on-1 tutoring allows students to build a strong relationship with their tutor, while working in a consistent and comfortable environment. No matter what subjects you need support with, or what days and times best fit your schedule, we have a tutor that’s ready to meet your tutoring needs. We Also have a Math and Science Tutoring Centre (drop-in), this drop-in program provides students with longer sessions (up to 3 hours), allowing them to invest more time in their Math and Science studies with the support of our tutors. For one low fixed fee per session, students can ask lots of questions, work through lots of problems, and work on multiple subjects in one session, without worrying about any time restrictions. Our Final Exam Review Courses are the ideal way to prepare for you final exams. In nearly 20 hours of instruction, our experienced instructors will work through the entire course curriculum in detail, explaining key concepts, working through important problems, and filling in any gaps that you have in understanding. By re-teaching the entire course, we ensure that if you missed anything the first time through, you will get it during our review course. As well, our instructors focus on what’s important, spending time on key questions and problems, and helping guide and structure you’re studying. With our courses you spend time on what’s important, and will be well prepared to write your final! In particular, our instructors focus on two key things during our review courses: 1)Reinforcing Concepts and Theory 2)Reviewing and Practicing Problem Solving Techniques

The Music Performance Diploma (MPD), either Instrumental or Voice, is a full-time, four-year program featuring private studies with a faculty of distinguished performing artists in residence at VAM. It is offered to high school graduates interested in majoring in piano, voice or orchestral instruments. Students receive intensive training as music performers, along with classes in music theory, ear training, and history. There are many performance opportunities as soloists, chamber musicians, and orchestra or opera ensemble members. A Bachelor of Music (B.) performance degree can be completed through our Bachelor of Music transfer program, offered in collaboration with Thompson Rivers University, Open Learning (TRU-OL). VAM Music Performance Diploma courses can be transferred as a block to TRU-OL to complete the music requirements of the degree. TRU-OL offers the extra academic credits students need by distance education or by transfer from other accredited institutions. This degree is accepted at Canadian and U. universities and conservatories. It is possible to graduate with a B. (Performance) degree from TRU-OL at the same time as a student finishes the VAM Music Performance Diploma. Students can also opt to complete the extra academic courses after earning our MPD. The Artist Music Diploma (AD) is for musicians with a degree who are preparing for a performance career. Students work closely with our distinguished teachers, following a regular schedule of private lessons, master classes and recitals. There are also opportunities to take leading roles in our large musical productions, such as section leader or soloist in VAM orchestra concerts at the Orpheum Theater, or singing roles in VAM opera productions. A supportive environment is provided from which to engage in the competitions and auditions that are part of the life of a young artist.

Parking Prussin Music is on the corner of Dunbar and Broadway which has ample free street parking. There is also a surrounding neighborhood that has numerous stretches of street parking where permits are not required. Other Locations We also have two depots in BC that can sell, rent, and take returns on behalf of Prussin Music. If you have an instrument in need of repair they will arrange to have them forwarded to our repair shop .
