Style meets technology: A successful marriage between the old and the new has set the foundation for the Imperial. In addition to its unique design, the theatre was renovated to include a state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video as well as enough band width to host fully integrated multimedia events. 
Imperial Vancouver is a beloved small venue for live music with excellent sound quality. The size is intermediate, offering more space than smaller venues but less than larger ones. The entrance way and coat check area are spacious and accommodating. The venue is beautifully lit and clean. Some customers suggest improving the floor lighting. Homelessness outside the venue is a concern for some, but patrons are urged not to be deterred.
