The Holy Rosary Cathedral in Vancouver is a beautiful, historic place for worship with a classical Roman rite mass on Sundays. Many appreciate the architecture and peaceful atmosphere. Services are held in English, with some offering confessions in Spanish. Some visitors have noted difficulty understanding the sermons due to thick accents, but overall express happiness with the experience. Accessibility is a challenge for some. Everything we do at Westside is centred on making Jesus known. Christ’s great commission is for His disciples to go out and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-19). In other words, it is inconsistent at best, disobedient at worst, to be a disciple of Jesus and not be a disciple-maker. In Jesus’ parable of the Great Banquet (Luke 14), He tells us to go out and compel as many people as possible to come to His Father’s banqueting table so that His house may be full. Westside Church is a welcoming and inclusive place of worship in Vancouver with great acoustics and inspiring teachings. The pastor's sound teachings have been appreciated by many visitors. The church community is close-knit and offers various activities for all age groups. Some visitors have noted the need for focus during services to minimize distractions and ensure a more spiritual experience.

Vision Our vision is to be a leader in community policing and the cornerstone of policing services to Chinese speaking people. Our mission is to work with the Chinese community, the Vancouver Police Department and other service providers to enhance the safety and quality of life for Chinese speaking people. Our mandate is to foster and strengthen positive relationships and facilitate communication between, the police and Chinese speaking people, thus enhancing the accessibility of police services to the Chinese community. We deliver crime prevention programs in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department, local community associations, schools and seniors centres to help reduce the incidence and impact of crime. We provide assistance to Chinese speaking victims of crime from the initial reporting, through referral to other agencies, to participation in the criminal justice system, including translation and interpretation at all stages. Within the Chinatown area we maintain patrol programs which lead to a safer, more vibrant environment for local businesses, residents and visitors. History Our centre was founded in 1992 by the Chinese Benevolent Association, the Chinese Cultural Centre, S. C. E. S., the Vancouver Chinatown Merchants Association and the Chinese Freemasons. We started with a small office on Main Street, in the heart of Chinatown. Since then we have moved twice and are now located at 118 Keefer Street at the street level of the Chinatown Parking Plaza. We have a large group of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to help deliver a wide variety of programs.
