Owned and operated by Mr. Ru Lin Zhang, a master chef in Northern Chinese cuisine, Lin is the proud winner of the ‘North or Shanghai Dimsum’ category in the prestigious Chinese Restaurant Awards 2009, as selected by a group of industrial leaders and food experts. While Chef Zhang is busy with notorious cold and hot plates, Dimsum chef and manager Yu Miao can be found either handcrafting noodles, dumplings and baos (buns) at the dimsum counter at the right back corner of the dining room; or giving ordering tips to diners. Since its opening in 2007, Lin has become the Northern and Szechuan spicy favour of the area. With daily lunch specials under $8 and a dinner flair averaging $15 to $20 per person; and an exquisite menu of authentic Shanghai and Szechuan dishes, deciding what to choose is perhaps a challenging prelude to a scrumptious experience for some.
