Our Patients: At West Kootenay Animal Hospital we treat companion animals including: dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits and pocket pets. Our Facility: West Kootenay Animal Hospital was established in 1967 by Dr. Peter Morgenthaler. The original facility served the area for over three decades. In May of 1997 Drs. Rob and Elaine Klemmensen purchased West Kootenay Animal Hospital and quickly outgrew the original building. A new, modern Animal Hospital was constructed on the same property in the summer of 2007. Driving Directions: From Trail: Drive East on Highway 3 to the junction of Highway 3 and Highway 22A (Set of lights at Canadian Tire and Maglio Building Supplies). Turn right onto Highway 22A and continue south approximately 1 km. The Hospital is located on the left side of the highway and off Green Gables Road. From Fruitvale: Head West towards Trail.
