Arcticlight Kennels was established by Eric Van Loo in February 1976 as a Siberian Husky breeding kennel. Over the years, customers who purchased dogs at Arcticlight Kennels began to leave them here during vacation time. The kennel gradually evolved into an all breed boarding kennel. A new 30 x50 building was constructed to include heat and air conditioning for the comfort of the dogs. A long-time involvement with dogs through breeding, exhibiting at conformation shows, obedience and agility instruction and competetive sled dog racing has given me the experience needed to care for dogs of all breeds. Clients and friends have expressed the opinion that I have a positive gift relating to dogs. I am a CGN evaluater, approved by the Canadian Kennel Club and I am a lifetime honorary member of the CKC.
