Founded in March 1975, Scadding Court Community Centre is located at the corner of Dundas and Bathurst streets and adjacent to the Atkinson Cooperative Housing Complex (formerly Alexandra Park social housing). Our programs target under-serviced, culturally diverse groups such as low-income families, at-risk children and youth, newcomers, people living with disabilities, seniors and the un/underemployed. Between 500 and 600 people visit the Centre each day to participate in programs and services, or just to socialize. Scadding Court's mandate is: To support and foster the well being of individuals, families, and community groups by providing and encouraging both local and international opportunities for recreation, education, athletics, community participation and inclusive social interaction. Our programming streams include: Social Recreation and Wellness Support for Children, Youth and Families Child and Youth Programs Food Security and Urban Agriculture Community and Social Development Anti-Racism and Community-Building Programming and Support for People Living with Disabilities and Seniors Newcomer Services All of our work benefits from partnerships with neighbouring schools, community organizations and institutions committed to improving the health and well being of the community. Scadding Court Community Centre is highly regarded by its attendees for its clean facilities, friendly and supportive staff, and various engaging programs. The centre has a long-standing positive impact on attendees, with many expressing appreciation for the facilitators like Michael Truong who inspire and teach valuable skills. Programs such as Flavors of Diversity Drama Interact, Swim, and social have been well received, providing opportunities for community engagement and personal growth for attendees. The sewing program is another popular offering, enabling attendees to learn a new skill.

Club Vista is the shared facilities available exclusively for residents of Apex and Matrix. We are located on the second floor of 373 and 381 Front Street West. Our office is located on the second floor of 381 Front Street West. We have a fully equipped fitness center with free weights, treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, rowers and various workout benches; a 21 meter swimming pool, complete with hot tub and dry sauna; a gymnasium which accommodates half court basketball, indoor soccer, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, ultimate frisbee and dodgeball; a wide range of free and paid fitness classes and organized trips. The second to none facilities include: a beauty spa and hair salon; four beautiful guest suites (two in Apex and two in Matrix); a party room for 60 with 2 billiard tables, patio and barbeque; a 20 seat theatre; a business room that seats eight comfortably and a small meeting room that comfortably seats three.
