In 2003-2004, The York School was authorized to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP, including EYP) and in 2005-2006, we were authorized to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), thus becoming the first school in Canada, an IB World School, accredited to offer the IB curriculum from Kindergarten to university entrance. Driven by our commitment to progress and desire to provide the best possible facilities, the community rallied together in 2010 to build the new Junior School at 1639 Yonge Street. Housing JK to Grade 5, this contemporary, flexible learning space reflects our adaptable and collaborative approach to learning. In our 50th anniversary year, The York School is one of Canada’s foremost independent schools.
