An application fee of $150.00 is required. This can be paid by VISA (instructions are included on our application form) or by a cheque made payable to The Mabin School, sent with your completed application form to the address listed above. Interviews Our main intake grades are Junior and Senior Kindergarten, although it is possible that spaces will open up in other grades each year. Interviews for September 2015 will be conducted throughout December 2014 and January and February 2015. The Mabin School’s central location is ideal. We are within walking distance of some of Toronto’s most treasured landmarks, including Casa Loma, The ROM, parks and ravines. Parking, however, can sometimes be a challenge. Street parking can be found before 9:00 AM on: Poplar Plains Road, just north of the school Boulton Drive, one block west of the school Street parking is also available after 10:00 AM on Poplar Plains Crescent.

For more than sixty summers, Camp Hurontario’s small group philosophy has built lasting friendships, self-confidence and strong personal skills, in a unique non-competitive outdoor environment. Location & Activities Camp Hurontario’s spectacular location in the Thirty Thousand Islands of Georgian Bay, two hours north of Toronto, offers the ideal setting for a wide range of outdoor summer activities, including canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, swimming, rock climbing, ropes, archery, range shooting, fishing, biology and arts. Our choice of canoe trips ranges from five day trips on Georgian Bay, to week long trips on the Pickerel and French Rivers, to eleven day trips from our northern output in the Chapleau Game Preserve. Our leaders who are 15-16 have the opportunity to do what water trips of a lifetime in James Bay, the Arctic and Labrador. Philosophy Our philosophy is designed around growth and development, so that there is always a new and appropriate challenge at each age level. Our small groups and non-competitive atmosphere provides an opportunity for a more flexible approach to learning than that of a school setting. Boys from all over the world are able to develop strong personal skills, great friendships and a wonderful sense of community. 2015 Sessions Camp Hurontario offers a variety of sessions from 5 days to three and a half weeks, for boys aged 5 through 16. Sessions are tailored for different age ranges and levels of experience. Camp sessions begin at the end of June in 2015.

Absolutely, THE Best Way to End Your Summer! Great Music AND Camp Experience - Our Programmes Can't Be Beat We provide an extraordinary music and camp experience for young musicians aged 9-18 from beginners to advanced, and we've been doing it for over 50 years. We offer Band (including beginning band instruments), Orchestra (including beginning strings), Suzuki Strings, Choir, Music Theatre, Guitar (classical and acoustic) and Jazz programmes. Our Faculty are great musicians and great people. They come to us from around Ontario and the rest of Canada and bring enormous enthusiasm for teaching young players. Our Music Staff love the week even more than the campers! They live in the cabins with them, eat meals and help them in rehearsals. The Recreation Staff are the best of the Camp Wahanowin Core Staff. While the campers are in class, they're cooking up another great evening programme or getting ready for a rec period. We See Some of the Best Sunsets! Located on the site of Camp Wahanowin, on the sunny shores of Lake Couchiching, we're just under 2 hours north of Toronto and about 15 minutes from Orillia. We know sunsets aren't a reason to come to camp, but we DO see GREAT sunsets. They're the perfect coda to a great camp day. For Over Fifty Years..! Over Fifty Years! Our campers have the time of their lives, making lifelong friends and learning in a challenging, supportive, family-like environment. Many of our campers now start their NMC life at age 9 or 10 and continue through the end of high school, at which point they get in line to be accepted on staff. National Music Camp of Canada is a place where children and adults learn new skills, make friends, and thrive in a supportive environment. The camp has a strong focus on music instruction, with many attendees praising the intensive and fun lessons they received. The staff is described as caring, generous with their time, and inspiring, providing encouragement and guidance for attendees to pursue their passions. Many campers have gone on to pursue further education and careers in the arts as a result of their experiences at National Music Camp.
