King's Pearl Pub and Eatery in Tiverton has become a beloved gathering place for area denizens. Located in a gorgeous historic home on King Street, the pub is named for the home's previous owner, Pearl. The family-owned operation is a source of pride for the community which it serves, and regularly supports, and for the owners, Nancy and Stuart Alexander. The unique ambience is partly due to the antique ornate furnishings and decor (there is a large statue of Tolkien's King Aragorn standing guard on the front lawn), and also because the staff is so friendly and accommodating. Nancy says, "I can't say enough about our staff. They are such a big part of our success. They work so hard to make people feel welcome and to make sure they have everything they need." 
The King's Pearl Pub & Eatery is a cozy, quaint pub with friendly staff and excellent atmospheres that customers enjoy. The food offerings include standard pub fare with some standout dishes, such as the tuna melt, spinach and feta salad, and massive portions. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food, but some customers have reported inconsistent service or long wait times. The sweet potato fries are a highlight and worth trying. The pub's history as a former funeral home adds an intriguing touch.
