We're Scott Whitelaw and Quita Gray. We don't go a day without eating it. Every year our appreciation deepens for this life and this part of the world. We feel blessed to be living in this little community steeped in Gaelic, Scottish, Acadian and Miqmaq history and filled with helpful, gifted and unique neighbours. We've raised two beautiful daughters on this farm: Kalina's in Canmore, Alberta and Eriel's in Charlottetown, PEI. They both come home periodically to help out; they grew up working here and could run the place! That's why we call her Samara: She's learning every aspect of the business and teaching us lots along the way. Our dogs have always been Akbash - Turkish livestock protection dogs - right now it's Bahar and his mom, Viya. Our horses are Clydesdales - Gordie and Jiggs. Say hello when you see us; we love to meet guests at the farm.
Sugar Moon Farm is a cozy restaurant known for its delicious pancake breakfasts, maple syrup production education, and friendly staff. Many visitors praise the delicious food, warm atmosphere, and stunning hiking trails. Some mention the price being a bit high, but overall, the experience is worth it. The farm is a popular hidden gem in Nova Scotia, offering maple syrup products and renting out snowshoes for winter trails.
