The Ugly Mug was dreamt up when co-owners Tracey Black-Hanratty and Lori Latimer-Merlin were coaching basketball. With a little hard work we went from running basketball drills to running the cafe floor when the idea became a reality in December 2012. We believe in offering fair trade, organic, quality coffee and fresh baked goodies which are produced every morning at 5am (just ask Krista!). And to everyone’s surprise, located at the back of our cafe is an unique shopping experience, featuring products by local artisans and other funky, innovative items. Lori and Tracey hope the Ugly Mug can provide a space that is warm and welcoming to everyone. Whether your visit is for business, socializing with friends, or relaxing with a book, we predict your first mug is only the beginning.
