Most passengers will begin their journey at the St. Jacobs Farmers Market, an iconic farmers and flea market which has become a fixture and destination for tourists, foodies and bargain hunters from around the world. If you arrive early, you have the opportunity to tour the Market and maybe even get something for breakfast before boarding your train. If you arrive before the train does, you’ll experience the thrill that train travelers have as the train arrives at the station after having blown its whistle at the crossing.

Waterloo Central Railway offers a unique, family-friendly experience on an authentic train ride through the countryside. Volunteer staff are friendly, helpful, and welcoming, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Visitors can appreciate the authentic carriage and the scenic views, especially during fall. A variety of refreshments and souvenirs are available on-board. Though some have noted the need for improved food and drink offerings and facilities, overall customers express positive feelings about their experience.
