St. George-German prides itself on the athletic and community involvement of its students and teachers. Our students are very involved in community sports, intramural and competitive school teams, and a wide variety of other clubs and activities. St. George-German is also a SILVER certified EcoSchool, and we work hard to be environmentally responsible citizens in our school and in our community. St. George-German also holds high academic standards for all students. We consistently provide quality education to all students, as evidenced by our exceptional EQAO scores and a wide variety of additional data collected by teachers and the school on a regular basis. This year, we are focusing our attention on improving student abilities in Mathematics, and there are some exciting things happening in our classes! St. George-German is a Nut-Free School. We appreciate the co-operation of all families in keeping peanut/nut products off of school property. This includes food in individual lunches and treats brought into the school for special occasions. As an extra measure to ensure the safety of all students, sharing food is not allowed. We'd like to remind parents and guardians to please be careful not to park in the driveway or block the driveway entrance, particularly at the beginning and end of school. This will help our students arrive safety and on time. Thank you! Why Not Youth Centre St. George, a safe place for youth to meet, play video/games, or just hang out, is open at the South Dumfries Arena St. George every Friday night in the Community Room from 7-10. With the help of volunteers, we are able to provide a positive and safe atmosphere where all youth between the ages of 13-18 are welcome. Pizza and popcorn are free, as well as smiles! This centre belongs to the youth of St. George. Come on out and experience it with your friends.
