In 2010 Souris Harbour Authority purchased Souris Historic Lighthouse and property from the Federal Government and refurbished it, opening it for tours and a nautical gift shop. In 2012 Souris Harbour Authority expanded with a new building on site which house the nautical gift shop "Souris by the Sea Treasures" .
