Started in 1990 with only 80 square feet of development space in Don Miller’s garage – we have grown to a full sized shop and construction yard making up a full 13, 000 square feet of development area. We have been working and certified under the Canadian Welding Bureau for many years delivering quality Ironwork and Welding constructions and designs. In dedication to our high quality standards, we hold the same in our employees – they simply are our biggest asset. Our employees all hold valid welding tickets and some have been working with us for over 10 years holding. In efforts to support our local community of Sooke, we make yearly contributions to local charities and organization with full promotion of “Community First” for hiring local. DRIVER ENTERPRISES LTD. started in 1985 in Regina, Saskatchewan. While employed by Dominion Bridge from 1979 to 1985, I received Inter-Provincial Journeyman status in 1984. After Dominion Bridge closed down in 1985, I had steady contracts with such companies as Ipsco steel mill, PCL Construction and various small contracts around the Regina area. In 1999, I started Driver Enterprises Ltd. and commenced seeking my own contracts and certified the company, as well as Esquimalt Dry Dock Company at the graving dock. I obtained Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) welding supervisor's certification and managed some major refit welding projects for Esquimalt Drydock Company.
