Originally from the Maritimes, I moved to the Ottawa area in 1985. I received my Bachelor of Computer Science (Highest Honours) degree from Carleton University in 1993 and subsequently worked as a programmer, systems analyst and planning analyst for the Government of Canada. I returned to school in 2002 and earned my Master of Health Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Toronto in 2005. Since that time, I have provided speech-language pathology services to adults in hospital and community settings. I moved to the Smiths Falls area in 2009 and now balance my time between my private practice in Smiths Falls and my hospital speech-language pathology position.
