It is a seven minute walk to the village center where one can find a fish and chip restaurant, Subway sandwich, post office, barber, grocery store, coffee shop, bakery, Japanese Chinese and American take out. Grouped together in the pleasant Shawnigan Village. Shawnigan House vacation rental is a two minute walk to a beautiful park with picnic tables and a Children’s play area. Close by there are three parks; Wharf Park, Old Mill Park and Mason’s Beach. In the summer months these numerous lake beaches are busy with locals swimming, boating and fishing. The famous Kinsol Trestle is an 8 minute drive. Cobble Hill mountain is a 7 minute drive. Victoria is about a 40 minute drive.
