St. Andrews Fish & Chips was founded in 1984 by two friends who saw a golden opportunity to prosper from the British population then residing in Scarborough. Jim Kelly, and Bill Thomson along with their wives, Rita and Ann, became the first owners of St. Andrews, until Jim bought out Bill's share a few years later. With both partners sharing a love of golf there could only be one concept and one name for their restaurant. Today, the restaurant is owned by Jim's daughter Angela Kelly, along with Steve Watson and David Donaldson, Angela's uncle and cousin. Pop in and say hello to us! Angela can be found in the front of the shop, and Steve and David are working hard in the kitchen making the best Fish & Chips around!
