After completing undergraduate and medical school at the University of Saskatchewan, Dr. Laliberte specialized in Plastic Surgery at the University of Manitoba. In his 5th year of residency, as chief resident, Dr. Laliberte attended the prestigious Pitanguy Clinic in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he completed a cosmetic surgery internship and subsequently trained at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital in complex reconstructive surgery. Dr. Laliberte's subspecialty experience then continued when he was selected for a one year fellowship in hand and microsurgery at The Buncke Replantation & Transplantation Clinic in San Francisco, California.
