At McCormack Funeral Home we have a mandatory viewing policy. Our request is that someone, regardless of the service selected, views the deceased prior to services being completed. In cases where direct disposition is selected, mandatory viewing is particularly required. This means that you, a family member, trusted friend or clergy viewing the deceased are acceptable. We feel so strongly about this guiding principle, we will never charge for the fulfilling of this requirement. It is our recommendation that the deceased be embalmed for the opportunity of having open casket visitation. Open and closed casket during visitation are always at the discretion of the family.
