Fondée en 1963, par Jean Marie Champeau, l’entreprise s’établit au Québec dans la municipalité de St-Malo. Tout près des frontières américaines. À l’époque, la compagnie se spécialisa surtout dans le domaine forestier. C’est à la fin des années 80 que M. Champeau accentue le transport par plateau venant ainsi soutenir la croissance de sa compagnie soeur JM Champeau.
